Hello, folks. It’s Valentine’s Day. I hope you are blessed
with a significant other, and if you are, I hope you got the opportunity to
engage in lovey-dovey activities with that person.
And if you haven’t yet found that amazing person, well, please
find below a heart warming story especially for you.

True love is all
around us
This article
in today’s DNA introduces us to three couples worthy of being called true
lovers. In all three cases, the men became paraplegic due to severe accidents. And
yet, their women did not leave them. In fact, one of the men got lucky and met
his soulmate after his accident.
So what if many Indians find it increasingly easy to walk
out of a relationship? Let’s also remember that love is still alive and kicking
in our society, even if it is sometimes bound to a wheelchair.
10 ways to stay
positive and peaceful
Once upon a time, there lived a woman with many reasons to
stay depressed. But she abandoned those reasons and found 10 amazing ways to
stay positive. Here’s her happy
guidebook. Ladies and gentlemen, please greet Lori Anderson. And please
read through her magnificent contribution to the human tribe.
Abused woman is now a
Senator
Leanna Washington is a survivor of domestic violence. And a
state Senator from Philadelphia, US. Watch her crisp and categorical statement
in this
video.
This story can encourage us to determine if we are in some
abusive relationship in our lives. Such a relationship need not be with a
person. Could be with an idea. An idea that saps us and keep us imprisoned. Do
think about it.
Forest man of India
The story of Jadav Payeng, who created a 550-hectare green
tract in a sandbar right in the middle of the Brahmaputra, is without parallel.
You could watch his journey in this somewhat abstract video. Or you
could read about it in this well-written Times
of India article.
Boy with Down’s
syndrome meets dog with persistent love
The title says it all, doesn’t it? All I’d like to add is
this: genuine affection is irresistible. Have a look for
yourself.
If you doubt
yourself, watch this
Those who keep chugging along even when their work is not
good enough… those who continue to get better… they are the ones to make it. So
you think you don’t have what it takes? Maybe you haven’t given yourself enough
time. Or maybe you haven’t challenged yourself sufficiently.
Think about that while you watch
this video.
In conclusion
Shall we live our lives as if every day is Valentine’s Day
and every moment is ripe for love? Wouldn’t that be a life worth living?

The DNA article you have cited here is prejudiced. What about the men who have stood by their partners after tragedy struck? Don't tell me such stories don't exist...why does this blog seem like a half hearted effort?
ReplyDeleteTaraArora,
DeleteFirstly, thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. We appreciate that.
To answer your question, we have showcased men who have demonstrated extraordinary love for women. One such story can be found in the fourth volume (http://redcurryandgreenearth.blogspot.in/2013/12/positivity-weekly-vol-4.html).
The Positivity Weekly does not put down a gender, class, caste, nationality etc. Its very purpose is the opposite - to seek commonality and goodness amongst all people.
As for this blog being a half-hearted effort, well, we just have to try harder, I suppose.
Thanks again for writing in.
